SOEE Horse Shows

Show Off Equine Events (SOEE) offers five weekend-long horse shows for 2024. Our horse shows will be held on May 11-12, June 1-2,  June 29-30 , August 3-4 and September 29-29  at the Schaghticoke Fairgrounds in Schaghticoke, NY.   SOEE is dedicated to providing quality open horse shows that offer educational opportunities to competitors, and also give back to the community.

SOEE brings a fun new twist to the horse show experience. We have some spectacular unique ideas to bring to competitors and spectators this year. On the Friday nights prior to all of our shows, we are also offering informative lectures for all of our exhibitors on hot topics like barn/emergency safety, veterinary care/emergencies, and rider health and fitness. In most of our classes, in lieu of ribbons we offer a points system in which exhibitors earn points for each placing they receive. They can then take these points to our prize booth and exchange them for prizes of their choice. We also offer a free exhibitor party every Saturday night of our horse shows, each one with a theme. Our goal is to bring people to together to have fun, and encourage showing together, instead of against one another.

We offer a variety of classes –english, western, driving, jumping, games, mini/pony classes, ranch horse classes, beginner, and more –for a variety of age groups and ability levels. We project in excess of 150 exhibitors per show and a great number of spectators at all of our events, based on our growing numbers throughout the series last year. Our series seems to nearly double in entries almost every year!
All shows begin at 8:30am. Pre-entries are accepted and forms are available in the link above. However, ALL PRE-ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE SATURDAY BEFORE THE SHOW, whether submitted via mail or electronically. NO EXCEPTIONS.

SOEE Gives Back

We will be holding raffles, auctions and other fun events taking a portion of some of our profits and giving back to local charities. In our 2014 & 2016 seasons, we were able to raise funds to benefit local riders who competed at the national level that year. We also pride ourselves with heavy involvement in local the 4-H program. In 2015, we raised nearly $1000 for a local young rider who lost her mother in a tragic accident. In 2017, we developed a Youth Team and will be awarding scholarships to some of our hardworking youth. We believe strongly in these programs and giving back to our community!

Accommodations

The fairgrounds offer both an indoor and two outdoor arenas, plenty of parking, and public restrooms. As always, don’t let weather discourage you – the large indoor has lots of seating for spectators, and there are open barns right outside the arena for nice dry holding areas!

Food vendors are available at all of our shows and gymkhanas. Check out the Facebook page for the Farmer’s Feed Bunk: Farmer’s Feed Bunk. You might find yourself coming to our shows even if you don’t have a horse… the food is that good!! Don’t forget about our free exhibitor party to also be held in one of these spacious buildings as well, following Saturday’s show.

The fairgrounds offer large stalls with dirt floors, full tops on all stall doors, and some stalls now have full wall. Stabling is available for the entire season for just $200.  You can also purchase stall space for $40 a weekend or $20 per night.   There is no additional charge to ship in Friday night. A cleaning fee  of $25 applies to anyone who does not wish to clean their own stall prior to leaving.
Brand new camper hookups were added in 2016, are available at a rate of $40 a weekend or $20 per night. Shower facilities are available.

Come join us for our quality horse events! We can’t wait to meet you!
